About the T-Town Midget Showdown
The T-Town Midget Showdown marked the exciting and highly anticipated return of USAC midgets to the Tulsa Metro area and produced unforgettably great racing. The 3rd Annual T-Town Midget Showdown, April 21tst and 22nd, looks to build on the success of the event with special incentives and increased purses for the teams and drivers. April 20th will also serve as the debut of the T-Town Restrictor Showdown giving the young drivers of that division a chance to shine on a grand stage. The rich racing heritage in Northeast Oklahoma combined with the storied history of Port City Raceway set the stage perfectly for a blockbuster weekend of racing excitement where the superstars of USAC will be “livin’ on Tulsa time.”
Brady and Xia Xianna Bacon with Elite Racing Promotions have teamed up with Port City Raceway to bring this event to life. “Port City has played an enormous role in my life and career, and I am extremely proud to play a part in an event that will bring the best USAC midgets to the Tulsa area year after year.” says Brady, a three-time USAC Sprintcar champion.
Xia Xianna adds, “Knowing how much Port City means to Brady and his family, I am looking forward to our kids enjoying the track as well and am thankful for the opportunity to bring an event here that will introduce other families to this wonderful facility so they might enjoy it for generations to come as well.”
The T-Town Midget Showdown will once again play host to a Tulsa Legends Reunion to celebrate the unique and abundant history of racing in Oklahoma. The event will provide a great time to reconnect, reminisce, and will help introduce a new generation to the heroes of the past who helped pave the way for the stars of the future.
